Howdy!

It’s time for the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop with our July kits…On My Mind! We are all fans of this monthly crafting kit and this blog hop is to share our enthusiasm for this box of fun and creativity. The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. I love hopping with these amazingly creative ladies! So, let’s get started…

I went camping and took my box along with me. The only “extras” I brought were different sized blocks, the larger ink pad, and some scissors. Everything else was in the box! Therefore, my alternates had to be made with what was in the box!

I have 2 others that are not quite finished that I will post later. Due to so many family members visiting right now, my Creation Studio is currently being used as a guest room. When I get them finished, I’ll post those as well.

Howdy!

It is that time again…Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop…where we get to show you the alternates we made from this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit! And this month’s kit is truly Ah-mazing!

It is called A Little Smile for a reason…we can hand out the sweetest cards for any occasion…with tips at a restaurant, when you see a sales person stressed out, a friend needing a pick me up…whenever it seems like the right time to brighten someone else’s day! Trust me, it brings a smile to your face as well!

AND, it came with this little case to carry the cards in so that they don’t get destroyed in your purse!

So, that is what came in the kit, I used the stamps, ink, and embellishments to decorate one of Stampin’ Up!’s mini pizza boxes. I hadn’t used any of them yet and wanted to make something 3D for a change of pace. With it being summer, the beachy theme was perfect for a little treat box! I added some other ink colors to this as well…it needed a pop of color for those coral and starfish stamps! 🙂

The sparkly sand dollar is my favorite embellishment in this kit! There are also some sparkly starfish that are pretty, but if they were in a more realistic color, then they would have also been a favorite. Still using them, of course, just loving the sand dollars the most!

I also decorated the sides of the box because, well, why not?! Love the Calypso Coral for the coral! WOW, such a perfect pop of color! I also used the Sahara Sand for the sand dollars, but stamped them off before putting them on the box! That helped make them lighter and closer to realistic. Don’t ask me why I was hung up on realistic with this kit…it’s just one of my idiosyncrasies, I guess. 😛

I have to say, I am pretty pleased with the outcome and may have to make a few more of these boxes. Then I need to bake and put treats in them…hahaha, just kidding, chocolate will be way easier since baking is not a favorite past time of mine…cooking, yes, baking, not really. I’ll let my son do the baking. 😉

Howdy!

Well, it’s Spring Break for us here in Whitefish, Montana and I am loving not having to go to school! Haven’t gotten to sleep in, yet the days are more relaxing and it makes me so very ready for summer vacation! Bring it on! Ready to craft my heart out!

Today is our monthly blog hop for Paper Pumpkin Possibilities! We are all fans of this monthly crafting kit and want to share with you our enthusiasm for this 1 stop box of fun creativity. The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use this March Paper Pumpkin kit: Poppin’ Birthday.

Here are the cards that the instructions were for:

I normally make each of the instructed cards and then make alternates. Today I just dove right in, so this is a photo from Paper Pumpkin of what the cards look like. I will make one of each…later. So many ideas running through my head and all over the internet!

The card I made for today actually came to me in a dream last night! Yes, crazy, right?!? I was thinking about what I would make today and I fell asleep and when I woke up I remembered making a card in my dream…so I made it for real!

Here is it!

It’s a tad dark because I had to lay it back a little so that the sequins wouldn’t all fall to the bottom. Yep, it’s a shaker card! Learned a few things…first, make sure you put the plastic sheet on the back of your cake BEFORE you put down the double sided foam tape! 🙂 Yeah, I didn’t…ugh! That wasn’t fun to pull back up.

My goal is to always make Paper Pumpkin Alternates using as much from the kit as I can. I don’t want you to need to buy extra product if you are not in a financial position for it. Been there, done that. The only materials or items I used that were not in the kit this month were:
