ICS Blog Hop Introducing the 2019-2021 In Colors

Howdy!

It’s Inspire Create Share Blog Hop time! This month we are introducing the New In Colors for 2019-2021! They are so gorgeous! I found this color sample from Brian King (one of the demos I follow) to show you the colors. I love how he makes them look wet and I need to learn how to make my own!

Purple Posy is not available at this time in ink pads. A quality issue they are working to solve. So, I chose to use Pretty Peacock, Rococo Rose, and Seaside Spray for my project today. Do you want to hear a funny-ish story as to why? Yeah, so I was ordering the other 4 ink pads and apparently mixed up my numbers and got a Terracotta Tile re-inker instead of the ink pad. Durn-it! Thought about using it in my spritzer, but needed to keep it simple today due to time constraints! (subbing, baseball, new job)

I chose to use the Beauty Abounds stamp set and Butterfly Beauty dies since they were a happy carry over from the Occasions catalog to the new Annual catalog! Yippee!! I hadn’t used them yet! As I was beginning, my brain went blank. Not an idea came to me at all! I knew I wanted to use the big die full of butterflies, so I opened up the catalogs to see what Stampin’ Up! made with them and found a card to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) in the Occasions catalog on page 13. Never throw away your catalogs! They are full of inspiration and CASEable projects! I changed it up a bit, of course, yet fairly close.

I added the Scalloped Linen Ribbon under the Story Label punch.  Then I stamped a sentiment from the Healing Hugs stamp set (another happy carry over to the New Annual catalog!) and distressed the edges in the Rococo Rose. I used dimensionals under the label and adhesive under the ribbon to adhere it to the butterflies.
